What's with the Pride

Humans are made with some additional components compared to aminals, and one of them is the most develped brain. It is made so great that we do not have built in protection or hunting tools such as claws or fangs. We are able to contruct those equipments and outsmart the animal kingdom.

However there are three things that are programmed into the human brain that leads us to either suceed or malfunction. They are know as Pride, Fear and Greed.

Most humans are prideful. Look at the world, people fight each other for the show of pride. Who's the better person, My son is better than yours, or "Oh my, he drives a bigger car". When a person loses in a battle of pride, they become envious. That is where it may grow to Greed.

Greed normally grows after tasting the sweetness of success, or vengence. Simple thought, once you had something nice, you keep wanting more of it. Winning in a pride battle will not only instill a person's pride, they tend to be come more prideful, or in other words egoistic.

Once a person taste a loss, their pride is damaged, for that very reson it creates fear. The fear of tasting the loss again. People are mainly motivated by Pain and Pleasure. People fear pain, therefore they fear losses. This also means that people will do anything to stay away from pain. Once a person's pride is hurt, he or she will learn to protect it more securely. Thus, a change in within a person and his attitude.

All in all we get a mixed effect of both positive or negative. Many believe that pride is the main issue for most men and women of today. What we learn and what we do from the lessons thrown at us by life can be interpreted in many different ways. How we react to them is the difference.
